If you want to run a public service you should be prepared for public scrutiny. The fear of criticism in this country is a massive problem.

I don't disagree with you. Was a HT and welcomed the public scrutiny. If there was a fear of criticism, then nobody would work in our schools, let alone choose to lead them. But I think there is need for a wider conversation about how fear of incessant criticism is impacting families and schools.
