Yeah, my entire reasoning for it was that it's pro-level tech (but old) and it can do upscale AND downscale. Plus it was £50 delivered and while I'd bloody LOVE an OSSC I'm never sure if I could justify the price for the use one would get :( (Also, yes, this is a Big Lad)

after the OSSC I bought the StarTech S-Video/Composite converter because I finally wanted a higher quality converter, and that was the one. the quality is as perfect as my good old Panasonic plasma tv's S-Video input. but it doesn't look as nerdy as the OSSC. 😉
