plenty of jerks out there overclaiming / embellishing without giving any thought to it. the fact that you're both thinking about it and then asking about it has me worried you will undersell yourself against others who are overselling. uggh yet another Gresham's law application.

unless you're fluent enough to practice law with it, hobby/interest seems right. if you're not but have caught a translator in an error in the course of your work that seems like a great anecdote for an interview when people ask about your interest in languages.

and as i've said, i don't use the term. i didn't know what it was, found out, and don't use it. but i recognize that i easily *could* have used it in ignorance of its origin and it is easy to see that others will do the same with this and other terms.

i argued that it wasn't clearly antisemetic. it isn't clear unless you know nazi rhetoric. again, people should not have to know everything every nazi ever said in order to oppose Israel murdering people. it's an impossible standard.
