You will have SUCH fun. When you're in Brisbane, if you're interested in old weird science, go look at the pitch drop experiment. smp.uq.edu.au/pitch-drop-e... The real reason to go is that the campus is lovely and you take a water bus to get there.

The Moshpit music bar in Newtown can be a lot of fun. Wednesday nights are open mic night, and there's always a mixed bag. Newtown in general is lovely to stroll around during the day. Lots of curiosity shops and the like. Huge food selection.

New Zealand is a 3 hour flight from Sydney - just saying! Also Yellowface has been incredibly popular with my senior students and staff, am buying a second copy as the reserve list is loooooong

three days for three cities! 🤯 March is the nicest (only nice??) month in Melbourne (I will also allow April), so you timed it well. Hope you enjoy your time here

Eat all the things! We're very lucky to have such good produce and a wide range of cuisines. For a classic Melb experience try a big breakfast at a cafe.

Do you want to see nature, or to see stuff? Also will you have time to get out of the cities to see the nature. There’s great zoos in Melbourne and Sydney, but the Werribee open zoo might be more satisfying. The Great Ocean Road is a wonderful day trip out of Melbourne, or Phillip island

Everyone will say the beach but personally am a fan of inland stuff. In brizzie can recommend Maleny and Stanthorpe and Mt Tamborine.

Hey, do you still need tips on things to do? Husband’s from Brisbane and I’ve been 7 times—not sure how long your stay is outside of three travel events. Snorkeling at the reef, Gold Coast, is terrific

The Wheeler Centre in Melbourne is next to the State Library which has a beautiful reading room and attached art gallery. With a local driver/guide you could also easily check out Philip Island (penguins!) or the famous Hanging Rock and be back into town by the afternoon.
