Maybe you can't just give away an evil book of dark magic once you've traded the thing you love most for it, is all I'm saying. Maybe it comes back to you in the form most likely to make you break out of your prison and fight to regain the strength to use it.
I thought at first the kid had to be some mortal enemy in disguise, then I was disappointed at the obviousness of the missing baby thing. Now that they're calling that out explicitly, I'm back to the mortal enemy theory. Or maaaaybe he's like, an incarnation of the Darkhold itself?
Every time she flips her hair or swooshes the very full skirt of her velvet coat, I like her more. Every time she tricks, betrays, or attempts to murder someone (or... everyone), I fall a little more in love.
So Agatha All Along is great so far. Kathryn Hahn is having the best time playing a truly campy villain, and the floppy-haired kid from Heartstopper is a delight. It's the most fun a Marvel TV show has been since the Netflix days.
I will never forget the Tanya Huff interview where she was asked why she decided to write about vampires and her answer was, essentially, "I saw that vampire books sold really well and figured I could write better ones."
