I understand, politically, the idea here it's still a very close election, the swing states are on a knife edge, getting a few R-leaning types who don't love Trump to vote for you is important, etc this is still a stupid-ass idea and there is nothing of value left in that party at all stop it
In a clip from her first interview since becoming the Democratic nominee, Kamala Harris told CNN she would appoint a Republican to her Cabinet if elected.
"I have spent my career inviting diversity of opinion," Harris said of her plan to include a GOP voice in her administration if she is elected president.
I think she should go through the charade of offering the least important cabinet position to the most important Republicans then announce with much regret that she tried but 🤷♀️

Dems REALLY need to understand that "crossing the isle" is never going to work, if the other political party literally wants us to go back to the 1700s where people's rights are concerned. Whenever they wanna cross the isle, I just think "oh, so you want to open the door to abuse?"
“I think it’s important to have people at the table when some of the most important decisions are being made that have different views, different experiences,” can be useful, in a Devil's Advocate way. As long as you consider every suggestion they make to be the worse possible option to go with.
Yeah, I'm getting really worried about anti-Trump Republicans taking control over the Democratic Party. But, holy smokes, even Kamala being too generous to the GOP wouldn't be nearly as bad as Trump and Vance getting control over the federal government.
I honestly have no idea if he's qualified for the position, but Adam Kinzinger (or whoever) at VA isn't necessarily the WORST idea ever. Keeps her word, in a position that doesn't have that much power (by comparison), and so on and so on. But for real, fuck this shit.
To be fair, she didn't say "I'm going to do this," she was asked "would you do this?" in an interview and her response was basically "Sure, I'd consider that."
