After discussing with other anti-fascist activists I've decided to appeal the case for a restraining order against Phil Arps, this will be expensive but if 1000 people give $10 I can do it ⬜⬜⬜⬜⬜⬜⬜⬜⬜⬜ 0% of goal on Ko-fi! ko-fi.com/byroncclark/...

I’m part of a group using a repurposed classroom to run citizen science workshops in Christchurch’s red zone. If you know an Ōtautahi teen who’s interested in nature and wants to learn some entomology or ecology, one of us is starting an after-school club. Spread the word.

Are you interested in nature and the environment? Would you like to be a part of the new Youth iNaturalist Club where you'll get to explore the wildlife of the red zone, run projects and meet with experts?
Starting in term 3 we'll be meeting in The Nature Lab at the Climate Action Campus
(180 Avonside Drive) on Wednesday afternoons, 3 - 5pm. The club is for students in years 9 - 13 and places are strictly limited. If you'd like to reserve a spot or find out more information then email thenaturelabchch@gmail.com.

Spent a lovely day in retreat at Zealandia fenced wildlife sanctuary, hidden away from the worries of the world, to write about … the melting Antarctic ice sheets lol. Met this handsome local on my afternoon walk

A large blue and green feathered bird with red beak and feet, standing bedside a wooden fence and a sign with a picture of same bird - a takahe

Stink. Two or three 8-hour days would make a huge difference!

It’s such a drag when you travel to another city for research and can only do 4 hours a day - doubles cost of accommodation (been hit by this lately) 😩

A thread on some different archival reading room hours. In NZ you can theoretically get in 5 hours a day at Archives NZ in Wellington if happy to skip lunch (open 10am-3pm, Mon-Fri).

Omg I have the same recurring dream. I’m back in final year high school and have to sit all the exams … trying to convince them I have a PhD and maybe I don’t need to do this? 🧐
