i belong to many groups which would be the first in line for the firing squad. that is why i am trying to think abt this seriously and continue to question and engage despite the very intense, demeaning and degrading punishment people like me receive for questioning and challenging liberal orthodoxy

there are many, many people who will never be able to excuse, condone, defend, diminish or consent to what the biden admin is doing rn. so i think if we want to avoid another trump term, we need a strategy that doesn't alienate these millions of people.

when it's the only strategy for winning, it becomes a threat and excuse for that party to do whatever it wants regardless of how evil and regardless of the will of its voters. suddenly there is no line because there is nothing its voters will not accept.

i’m sorry u feel u have no choice but to defend a party that doesn’t care abt u or winning, but the tactic that leaves u w/: threatening voters w/ something worse if they don't consent to something bad, is counter-motivational & produces diminishing returns as ppl see this thinking leads to genocide

as smart and selfless as insulting the people you want to vote for your candidate is, i still question whether threatening voters with the death of democracy if they don't vote for your guy is really a winning or coherent strategy.
