Weird how he got the proportions of the human head so right, and yet those of the cat so wrong. I’ve noticed that in a lot of painters from that period; also with regard to babies (Mary with child etc). Even the greats, Michelangelo, da Vinci.. would get kids & animals more wrong than adult humans.

I've always asked myself that when people wrote to me "Dear Robert"

Hah, here in SA it's "Sir", "Professor", "Doctor" even after I told them I want them to call me "Robert" and explained the reason why. Who do they think they are to disregard my instructions so blithely. And then those exam scripts that dutifully repeat everything & only what I said. The horror🔪 👹
