My wife tells me I usually make post like a drooling numbskul right up to the point of it being on a topic I adore at which point I'll post a 3 page screed, with bibliography that blows the comment thread apart. And then go but nobody is responding to me !

Hi, I need to dig this out but gerrymandering can create areas that while they have a majority for X party can effectively reduce the margin. This is why the current approach is to concede to the Ds in one or two areas to the geographically concentrated Ds. But a big surge could beat even this.
