It both troubles me and horrifies me that there are people in mainstream media and politics who consider that the lives of Palestinian children really are worth less than others. This thinking is at the centre of all dehumanisation. It can be turned onto any group and adapted to any bigotry.

There was a huge difference between how we treated refugees escaping Ukraine persecution after the 2014 coup (treated as badly as all other refugees in the UK), & those escaping after the Russian invasion. 2.5m people were displaced by the coup, (I had some as clients), but barely a mention anywhere
