It’s very funny how true this is. A community group organized a letter campaign here to stop a massive parking lot from being built instead of housing. And the city stopped it because they got 65 letters and were like holy shit!

When you’re a city official in most towns you probably get the same 9 letters from the same 4 people every meeting. Normal people getting like barely involved in municipal governing is the equivalent of electing 9000 democrats
