Just chiming in on the local friend who got swept up in the Nazi 're-enactors' thing and like Sometimes re-enactors are doing just that. And sometimes they're more re-litigating the conflict. And it reeeally looks like the latter in this case. And we don't re-litigate nazi ideology.

This doesn't impact me for the most part, I switched to other software years ago, but it really feels like it reflects the current push from ownership to a rental market. Also that if software phones home at *all*, you never really own it.
The (completely offline) software I used to use for document management just emailed me to notify me that unless I switch to their insecure monthly-fee cloud version, they're going to deactivate my purchased offline version at the end of the month. So that's how enshittification's going here
