The cognitive decline in folks who've had multiple COVID infections is deeply concerning & I'm not sure what quality of life we are all supposed to have- with how often folks get infected. I know people who've had 3 infections & are showing signs of dementia. How does one plan a life in all of this?

I'm pretty devastated my husband and I caught it in August after giving up so much for so long. Masking wasn't enough when no one else was, and while I feel okay, god knows what the fallout will be. It hit the mister worse, and he's still coughing a month later. Never going out again I GUESS.

You would think that health care professionals and business ceo’s would want to keep their staff healthy because people unable to work due to covid infection means no one is thriving.

Watched someone I thought was a friend with 4th or 5th infection lose rsrional thought. (Currently on 5th) test +ve, decide he was symptom free and went out with a crummy blue ill-fitting pleated mask because “gotta eat”. Seriously poor judgement. Sick on every trip (and there’s been many this year)

I should add that even though I can't/don't want kids, I'm scared for the future of everyone and the damage it's doing to us as humans. Like, how can we continue like this? Something has to give before it's too late, before we're too damaged to do anything

One way I see it is how people drive now. I have never, ever in my 15+ years driving seen people drive so erratically and not care for others around them. I had someone lane change in front of me without caring I was there. I slammed on the brakes so hard I heard my tires skid and brakes squeal

I think about the kids who are getting infected sometimes multiple times a year. What will their future look like? Who'll be leading the sciences and politics if most of them have brain damage?

i feel like learning abt the state of the older generation, a lot of things go back to lead paint and leaded gas, and i feel like covid is going to be our lead
