polisky It seems that the whole literature on `nationalism' has gotten hopelessly stuck. I blame the original sin, that the primordialists however hard they tried, can not obviate. The fundamental question remains: initially: who is a member of the group and how do they know it? There are answers.
Yeah I just read a collection of his essays and that was one, among others, that stood out as eminently relevant.
