I think you overestimate your objectivity when everyone in the west has been hit by Islamist paramilitaries and Israel's had a similar, worse attack. We've all generally pre-accepted the need for military responses.

it's not objectivity. it's emotion. you see the photos, you see the footages everyone, and this changes perception because it's very emotional content. I've seen people changing views, they were supporting Israel but now they support a ceasefire and think Israel is going too far
