I thought we were gonna get something like that with Twitter Circles, which was WAY closer to what I wanted from a site/app, especially if they'd allowed us to like make curated groups of followers like by fandom That's how I used it, specifically as a Star Wars topic chat But then they deleted that
The largest irony is I am not even on Dreamwidth which is basically a LJ clone 😂 I think I just miss when the internet wasn't a "EVERYTHING AT ONCE" place, and was more of a "I'm going online to talk about my show" specific gated off time

Yeah I try to do a No Wank Novembers cause I sometimes get too ENTRENCHED in it sometimes 😅 I just hate when I'm trying to find nice stuff and ppl show up hating in my tags and I'm like AUUUGHH Altho I will say bsky is MUCH better for avoiding the negative (but it's also quieter in general)
Right??? Like I have precious few spare hours in this life to think about any stuff AT ALL, so why would I devote that much energy to stuff i actively do not like thinking about!!! Much better to spend it around things I enjoy
Like, my friend in fandom, I also think some tropes/kinks/etc in fiction are gross, and I don't like them! I still somehow manage to not have daily tantrums about it tho, and I don't think all the ppl who like those things in fiction are a secret army of predators
