Will make a prediction that this doesn't save any money but does increase mental health problems and anxiety.
Liz Kendall will press ahead with Ā£1.3bn in annual cuts to sickness benefits announced by the Tories, FT has learned Labour will retain contentious changes to āwork capability assessmentā that were introduced last year by Rishi Sunak www.ft.com/content/7888...
Work and pensions secretary Liz Kendall is likely to anger disability rights activists with her stance
Anxiety is stoked by those implying that assessing capability will result in injustices. Friends who conduct such assessments say all claimants seen are found to be unfit for work. The fakers/shirkers donāt turn up & lose their benefit. If deserving cases fear to attend, blame the commentators
And in the end, wasn't that the point.
The beatings will continue until morale improves.
This is a Labour government?
Disappointing from them to say the leastā¦ š°
Ahh, but at least Labour have painted a sad-clown face on the governmentās performative cruelty.
ChAnGe!
I wish the Government would focus on where the money is. It's not in benefits and sickness. These people have next to nothing and risk losing what they have. The money is with those that already have it.
I will be tapping the sign labelled "NHS MH services should be able to charge the DWP for the workload the DWP creates to abolish this false economy penny pinching" forever...
That's the point. Punishing people for 'weakness'.
