what's the deal with that anyway? is it another activitypub implementation?

it's an island network. basically, a bunch of activitypub sites that are all connected to each other, with allowlisting, instead of denylisting, so that it can't touch the Fediverse we're using specific software with the features we need, patched to remove numbers and global feeds and so on.
