Looking back, Twitter policy was way too lenient with this, just having caps based on follow/following ratio. Accommodating the tiny fraction of people with a legit reason to follow 2,000 accounts is not worth the network damage from follow-spammers.

This getting rolled out without a block button says how much they prioritize trust and safety. This whole thing wreaks of lip service solely to bootstrap another social network. Personally, if my last business burned down, I wouldn’t give a seat on the board to the arsonist.
