That’s what I don’t get. I think they are rentals so would the last person who rented it be charged if it gets damaged? (Not by me of course.)

Some of those rental companies have the model that you just leave them wherever and your time ends as soon as you logout and it locks. I guess that's what's happening here? They don't seem to have labels saying how to rent them though?
