As a kid, when I used to read fast, I’d always get sad abt how quickly I finished books. I would try to distract myself so I’d slow down & enjoy the story. As an adult, if I get through 15 pages without interruption, I consider it a successful attempt. I want to be a kid again!
At least in my case, some of the 'interruptions' are self-inflicted: These days, it is hard for me to read a book 15 minutes straight without stumbling on a word, expression, or concept that I find worth googling and sends me down a rabbit hole...
