Ghost Pipes were on my wildflower wishlist for years, and I first saw them in Sept. 2020. After a four year lull, I saw them again today! The flower heads dangle until they get pollinated and then they stand up. Almost all the ones I saw today had been pollinated, most likely by bumblebees.

It was a lovely, quiet morning at the marsh and all of a sudden it appeared. This beautiful coyote arrived silently for a quick drink and then just as quietly melted back into the grasses. A magical encounter!
