i like how people call the smaller falcon species (kestrels, merlins, etc) "murder budgies"

There's a great book, A Most Remarkable Creature, about caracaras, which are like the falcon/parrot bridge species

I've been calling them "sharp parrots" ever since I learned that, but I like "tactical parrots" better

falcons are what happens when parrots decide "how about i eat meat now"
