New hotness on Threads is apparently talking trash about Bluesky, mostly from people whose business model includes being an "influencer" of some sort. No disrespect to Threads, which I use and like, but I'm okay with Bluesky being light on influencers and heavy on conversation. Talking with, not at.

It's hilarious how they also talk about blue sky in the past tense as if it died in a horrible auto accident several weeks earlier, and only THEY can divine the reasons why

I really wish BlueSky and Threads partisans would realise the two sites complement each other.

Bluesky is like the pub. Threads is like the mall. Mastodon is like the library. Twitter is like da club.

Every now and then I check threads only to see dozens of posts from people I don't know, don't care about, and never asked to see, then I close it and don't go back again for a month until I forget why I don't like it.

I don't know what's up with my feed but Threads is worse than Twitter for me.

Threads is part of facebook/meta/instagram so not surprising.
