He's already promised violence as president, so if we're going to have violence I would like to have my violence while someone else less inclined to tolerate it is president, thank you
he needs a JFK.
Or worse yet, cheer it on...
There's going to be violence even if he doesn't stay on the ballot. 1/6 proved that.
I guess threatening or performing violence for political ends is only terrorism if it's not them doing it. I don't know where we go as a country when a lot of its people are like "We want what we want (which includes many of you not existing or being slaves) and will destroy all until we get it."
People said that civil war would happen if Biden was sworn in. Then they said it would happen if he was indicted. As a former prosecutor, I’ve seen street gang members with fewer indictments. No civil war. Fives of people rallied. 1/6 was a despot telling the National Guard to stand down.
We’re going to have violence either way so our options are 1) a brief window of retaliatory violence met with swift action that results in containment of MAGA/Nazis or 2) prolonged asymmetrical warfare against minorities with tacit approval by the state. It sucks, but 1 is something we recover from.
Trump is dangerous for the USA but also for the world, too much power in the hands of an egocentric. I would like him to become ineligible just like the disgusting Bolsonaro was here in Brazil. Does the USA not have electoral justice?
"Lovely country you have here. It would be a shame if something happened to it."
He used violence as president! I remain absolutely convinced that his plan was the autogolpe by at least the time when he cleared the square with Milley and that was in JUNE
There's also the element that this is ... America. We don't take lightly to being threatened. I think (hope?) he will face a terrible backlash for these threats as the campaign goes forward.
