I don't often talk about my beliefs because they are sometimes controversial, but I will share one with you now: "Boz Scaggs" sounds like the name of a minor background villain in the original Star Wars trilogy.

Boz Scaggs was first, working for over a decade before the first Star Wars movie came out. It would be more accurate to say that Star Wars is an elaboration of the Boz Scaggs universe.
