"People were enjoying hanging out with each other rather than engaging with the true power of social media, which is to endlessly proclaim the awesomeness of crypto" www.businessinsider.com/jack-dorsey-...
The real new Twitter, Jack Dorsey argues, should be something called Nostr.
I may sound a bit silly, but would someone explain to me what does « engaging with the true power of social media » mean ? 🤔
I'm not even sure he knows what he's talking about. He made Twitter. Didn't like it. Left Twitter. Came to Bluesky. Said Bluesky was being too much like Twitter. So he went to Twitter. But he's planning on eventually leaving Twitter. Never ask his guy where he wants to eat.
I get the impression the real reason these techbros don't like moderation/blocking/banning is it cuts into their grift audience. The post-moderation Twitter is full of open-pocketed dimwits and bots with scam ads and Wild West Bitcoin sellers. BlueSky users actively blocking that=less customers.
Bluesky is as far from Twitter as lettuce is from red meat
Having oodles of excellent authors on here is excellent prep for the run up to my 2nd ever worldcon. Besides, I always like seeing authors' cats.
Billionaires don't understand people. Neither do tech-bros. Billionaire tech-bros? Hopeless.
I'm just going to say it, his face looks like a xxl merkin.
I see what he is saying Blue🦋 is becoming the same thing that I dislike about the dead bird. Sad cause I kind of like being around here.
