Day out in Styria! We presented on “Uses of the Past in Mining” at a colloquium organised by the Chair of Mining Engineering and Mineral Economics @‌unileoben. It was fun to engage the audience in history, after presentations on data-driven blasting and conveyer belt technologies!

The highlight was the spectacular Erzberg mine and witnessing firsthand research efforts towards making mining more sustainable. Thank you to Prof Michael Tost and his team for hosting us, and to Martyna Konieczna-Fuławka and Krzysztof Fuławka for sharing the panel with us.
