The only problem with living in a spot that is surrounded by trees is that when you see signs of a really good sunset, you have to drop everything, hop on your bike and race to an open area. I managed to hit two good spots tonight, and probably reached my top speed on my bike between them.

A blaze of orange and yellow lights up the end of a gravel road that is lined by the silhouettes of Spruce trees. This incredibly bright sunset reaches up into the sky, painting, the wispy clouds, dark red against the fading blue.
The sky looks like it’s on fire right above the horizon and dark red, flares up into the underside of wispy gray clouds that reach up to the top of the photo. in front of this dramatic sunset is a line of dark trees weigh in the distance bounding the shore of a very large lake.

Breathtaking!! Definitely worth it. I have the same issue with trees. Pink sky? Drop everything and run! When I can anyway.

I haven’t “hopped” on my bike or ”raced” anywhere since I was 9, so kudos to you for a spectacular effort! Beautiful sunset!

This is an average good sunset view from my house. The only drawback I have is the need to hot-foot across the chicken yard so I can see it.

An orange spring sunsetover a distant row of early 1970s split level houses backed by a ridge covered with second-growth douglas fir and centered on a black cottonwood. The lower half of the pictire is a green pasture full of varicolored cattle.

Did you know ahead of time where you were going to get the best shots?

Stunning! I live in a very small valley and never get to see sunsets at home. I savor the sunset photos!

Worth it! Wow I am so out of practice chasing sunsets recently but yeah when you get a glimpse (or even better capture a cool image of a really wild light show on the clouds like this it is so satisfying!
