Swiss authorities have arrested a 23-year-old Chinese man suspected of stabbing three children near a day care center in Zurich this week. The suspect in the case, whose name was not released, is a Chinese national who has been studying at the University of Zurich since last summer, according to a Wednesday statement from the Zurich public prosecutor’s office.
“Such isolated incidents may happen in any country in the world,” foreign ministry spokesperson Mao Ning told a regular news briefing after the attack on the Japanese school bus, which killed a Chinese woman who tried to stop the attacker and injured a Japanese woman and her child.
