I agree. My old man was diagnosed with it about 15 years ago. It was pretty bad when they found it, but he's managed it really well and he'll die with it, rather than from it. Catch it early, and get good advice on diet, and lives will be saved.
Just watching the Veneto Classic, and even though Pogi isn't riding in it I can't help but think he's still going to go solo from 120km out and win it!
My partner is a bit more torso than leg. After 2 hours of riding the shoulders and neck would go, and then she'd be in pain for a few days. The brake levers are also pulled in as far as they'll go. I'll get her a shorter stem and see how she gets on.
They were deliberate leftovers. I made too much patatas bravas on Friday for this very reason.
Went down a treat. Leftovers from our tapas night on Friday, with a bit of fried egg. *Chefs finger kiss*
The saddle is as far back as it will go, to take the weight off her hands, which I think is the cause of her shoulder and neck pain. It's definitely helped, so I think the next move is a shorter stem. Maybe 10 or 20mm shorter 🤔
She's 5'2, so she's usually between sizes on frames. Currently rides a 48cm Cannondale Synapse. She's had a bike fit once, and it's got us closer to the perfect fit. I just keep tweaking bits every now and then, to see if it helps.
It was a Lagma. She absolutely loved that bike, and the colours matched her shoes, apparently! 😂 She'd trade her Cannondale in for one tomorrow, but she won't pay out that much on a bike, and refuses to go back to an aluminium frame! I think we are close to getting the perfect fit, but not 100% yet
I think we need to do something similar for my OH. I'm convinced her bars are too wide, and the stem a little long. I'm going to try and find the details of the Liv she hired in Mallorca last year, as she didn't have any problems on that bike.
