Jean almost always ends up with wrong writers, instead of complex and pained character we get endlessly sacrificial mcguffin in service of other character's arcs. I said for years they need to Jason Todd on Scott, Charles, and Magneto. 25+ years without any of them could only be good for series.

I've never agreed with something more in my entire life. I actually hoped at the start of the Krakoa stuff that Charles would stay gone longer, but I guess given their new immortality on the island that was wishful thinking.
