It’s #spookythread#books#art fit? Then it probably does! Everyone: if you have a recommendation, or a creepy story to tell, please chime in!

Announcement for Spooky Thread Episode Three: Every Thread You Make

In the background a figure in a black hood, with a blue underwater-esque background and the symbol of an eye.

Text:
"The weather is getting colder and our threads are getting spookier. Let’s shine a light into the dark and highlight some more awesome horror creators. This week’s theme is everything uncanny, but pssst!

You never know what might be watching from the dark!"

Spooky Thread is on Instagram, too. Find it under @wordslikepromises!

Maybe this fits? I'm starting up a series of micro-fiction horror stories based on your memories. Yes, I do mean *your* memories. You remember all of this, don't you? matahaggisburridge.substack.com/p/do-you-rem...

Do you remember when... (#001-#003)

Adding a snippet from a short story I started the other day. The story isn't finished yet, but if you like the world this is building: It's set in the same universe as my #BBNYAbooks2read.com/b/badgrains

A pencil style drawing of a giant eye between black trees in front of a vague night landscape. It's an excerpt from a story called Eye Trees by Susanne Schmidt and reads:
There are faces in the trees tonight. When I look across the cemetery's low sandstone walls, and their heavy curtains of wild wine. The garlands, so beloved of bees and wasps during the day, hang silent. But there are faces now. Half-moon faces. Half in shadow, half in light, fully in-between.
Some I know: Kristoff, the old baker who died just a few months ago. We held his funeral in the steady drizzle of a March shower, with wild crocus flowers peeking here and there through the dirt along the cemetery's main path. But now, he's in the trees.
