At least here there are plenty of dogs (specially now after summer) that dont have any special requisite. Obviously if one wants to adopt they should get informed first, and be commited. I have a friend who adopts Collies since a while ago, sometimes with special needs and care.

It depends entirely on where you live (and what size of dog you can keep). But I have some strong opinions when it comes to keeping dogs anyway - for example I agree with adoption requirements that demand the dog isn't left alone for more than 4 hours a day or your lifestyle is unfit for a dog.

I will also add that sadly i dont know many reputable breeders here, most i know are horror stories :(
