I #mathstoday with year 11 L2 further maths we did a problem involving a circle where the centre wasn't at the origin and threw some Pythagoras in there. We then got onto talking about super ellipses because they're all a bunch of super cool nerds!

In #mathstoday we finished partial fractions and looked at repeated factors. We ended up having to look at examples like 1/3 + 1/6 due to some common errors. Nailed it in the end 😊
Today I posted my 16yos pip forms. They took me 7 hours to fill out and I had help. How anyone is supposed to navigate those forms is beyond me.
In #mathstoday we worked out invariant lines and lines of invariant points following matrix transformations. I did this online across the trust and used padlet sandbox one page per student like mini whiteboards and used polls in the chat. It was very fun
