He didn't really say but I think people checking up on people filing ADA related claims and if someone actually had a legal diagnosis. I am also ADHD and he was reconfirming my diagnosis from 5th grade at 30 and prescribing Adderall for the first time to me so there might be more scrutiny there too
Europe is fucking weird. €70 for a plain zip hoodie is not fucking normal... Seriously, I hate Amazon but I'm reliant and it's only like XXL are under €50.
I don't blame him and agreed if that's the way the system works, he should do that but still hella fucked up
Similarly, I had my psychiatrist tell me he wouldn't give me an 'official diagnosis' of autism that I could use for ADA purposes because it would put extra scrutiny on him for over diagnosing and my ASD is mostly about light and audial processing so he had to save it for the worse cases
The FDA has the unmitigated gall to all but blame this on “overprescribing” as a result of the expansion of telemedicine. I mean, it’s not like telemedicine offers access to diagnosis for folks who didn’t have it. It’s not like that can’t possibly be a reason for an increase in prescription.
My Dad read his x-ray of his knee when he hurt it at an event in our city. This was before HIPAA and someone stole the actual physical x-ray within like 30 minutes of it being read. He wanted to bring it home to show me and someone straight up stole it from the hospital 😅
For a hot second, thought this was gonna be ALF hog related @faineg.bsky.social
