I think thatâs more about a perception here that the US considers (sweet) doughnuts an acceptable breakfast item, as reinforced by media we get here - we would only have them as a snack later in the day. So she took that idea and put a savoury spin on it (eggs for breakfast, but in a doughnut).
My favourite part about Luxon deciding not to take a free $52k/year while he's PM is that he didn't decide to stop because he thinks it was unfair. He's just sick of talking about it, and willing to give up more than a minimum wage worker is paid in a year just to not have to talk about it anymore.

Staff are super anxious, says one source.
I don't think people understand the gravity of making librarians and teachers *criminally liable* for disseminating information. Fascist shit, from a known playbook. No one has the luxury of being surprised anymore.
Allowing new coal mines in a climate crisis isn't just madness, it is criminal.
â¤ď¸ Perfect, perpetually shocked and affronted, the soundtrack to my evenings here in PĹneke. 11/10 no notes.
The dewpoint in Wellington is currently 20°C. Thatâs a violation of local bylaws, the Geneva Convention, and quite possibly the laws of thermodynamics.
We need to stop calling Gervais, Chapelle, Maher et al âedgyâ comedians. They are, in fact, boring and predictable. There is nothing edgy about a whole genre of boomer/genX male comedians that teehee over saying âboo-boo wordsâ while making oopsie faces over and over and over again.
