I also appreciate this very niche complaint. Seems like everyone is using DIs now. Great way to make a $10k guitar sound like a $100 guitar.
The "good news" is that whole COVID still has a higher rate of fatality than flu, the delta between the two has decreased. But the long term impact of COVID can't be understated. Again, I'm saying MORE caution with flu, not less caution with COVID, would be good. jamanetwork.com/journals/jam...
This study uses data from the US Department of Veterans Affairs to assess whether SARS-CoV-2 remains associated with higher risk of death compared with seasonal
COVID infections go up, as I recall, at the same rate in the winter months for much the same reasons. Being indoors more, closer proximity, etc. Can't disagree on healthcare providers helping with the spread. Universal paid sick leave for all would really help to drive these numbers down.
As a man let me just say, "me too".
How do those numbers compare to their risks from other viruses such as influenza? And I'm not saying we shouldn't be cautious, but maybe we should exercise the same caution with other viruses.

I tend to fall asleep reading. And that includes out loud, to my kids. 🤣 But yeah, it's a DC graphic novel?
I remember watching The Commitments. They were downright awful at their first show. At the end, they were a seasoned machine about to completely fall apart. I figure most bands are like that.
"But you were great. You said words and stuff." Or "This show is going to just keep getting better!"
