I grew up listening to his albums in the 70s. And it wasn't until about 10 years ago that I learned he's the "A" in A&M Records! My ex-DJ dad schooled me on that one. I live a life of ignorance...

I wanted something like that soooo badly back then. Was entranced by the idea of a lil' clamshell gadget with a lil' screen and lil' keyboard, that wasn't a laptop but sorta pretended to be. Eventually did get something like that, can't remember what it was but it hit all the right geek spots.
On Mastodon they were originally called "toots" because the guy who created the platform didn't understand the connection with farts (I think he's German)... Most people on there don't use that term anymore, but I've always thought it was kinda funny. But you might be onto something with "flaps" 😀
