I wonder if they had planning issues with the loud colors or something. The choices are definitely weird, I would have also expected at least the awning and balcony colors to be reversed. (Some of their more typical freestanding formats have featured the balcony just hanging there tho for sure.)

So many fast food chains have moved to bland rectangle buildings in their latest formats seems like. Misguided attempt to look "modern" or such. Surprised the logo is not orange tho, they def haven't removed orange from their branding even if they are leaving it off exteriors.

Nah the worst thing about social media is people with significant platforms spouting takes that are demonstrably objectively wrong.

Even further, even if you DO have automatic citizenship someplace it’s STILL difficult to get through all the red tape if you actually want to move there. Documenting it is one thing and wanting to move quite another.

It seems to me that many people in general do just tend to be ignorant of such things until they are personally affected and thus finally learn for themselves. Anyone mentioning those realities to the ignorant before they were personally affected are easily forgotten/dismissed.

I don't think you're incorrect broadly speaking, but I do think the tolerability would be pretty unevenly spread depending upon one's deviation from the presumed norms. (e.g. for white, male, able-bodied, cis, etc it might be boring and tolerable, and any variance from this would be less so)

Anecdote: queer friends moved to PA from LA area in Jan, using shortest route I-15/40/44/70, overnights in AZ, NM, OK, MO, IN, stuck close to highways and to known brands like Comfort Inn and Love's truck stop, no trouble. Google Maps listings (at least hotels) sometimes indicate LGBTQ-friendly

So appreciate your comments on this to clear things up. I ran across mention of restrictions last night and of course it didn’t make sense but it’s good to see clear remarks about it today.
