I feel like the only possible future for openai is getting picked up by microsoft at fire sale prices. already almost happened once! it's just a question of how many investors get rinsed for how much when it happens

I wouldn’t count them out. It took several years for YouTube to become profitable. There is fierce competition, to be sure. For tech, it goes to who innovates. For UX/UI, my money is on Apple.

Microsoft has the advantage of Windows and Office to impose it on everybody. Not to mention Edge and Bing.
