The “range anxiety” is more an issue of lack of charging infrastructure. Don’t need to worry about range when there’s a functioning gas station in every town and highway exit. Feels different when it’s hundreds of miles between chargers and you stop at a broken one and can’t get to another option.

I think a lot of it has to do with how long it takes to charge an EV vs simply refilling a tank
