I don't know if this is a helpful point for Y7 (it would need some explaining), but 100C steam would cause more damage to your skin than 100C water.

Iā€™ll use an inadequate metaphor (I say inadequate as a get out clause -itā€™s late). Chunks are atoms. Understanding is a molecule built from those atoms. The same atoms can make different molecules. Some of the latter are better suited to certain tasks than other e.g. salicylic acid vs aspirin

There are two meanings then - the userā€™s and the perceiverā€™s.

If you take ā€˜retrieveā€™ to mean brining to mind chunks of information, then sure. And some ā€˜retrievalā€™ activities are about this. But I retrieval can be about calling forth understanding, which is malleable and open to further shaping during the activity. The meaning of the word is in its use.

A feedback loop, Christian? I agree that the LLM's responses would influence a person's subsequent prompts (and the person's schema would affect their interpretation). The diagram is very helpful in thinking things through.
