Fossil hunting at Charmouth along the Jurassic coastline in Dorset. Weāve been finding some beautiful pyrite ammonites.
Itās not that they were an afterthought, itās that they take longer to produce, and with the review working at pace the judgement was to launch to call for evidence at the earliest possibility and add accessible versions slightly later when ready.
Not a great judgement to be honest, but DfE could have put that on the website for clarity. Nothing mentioned that I could see. Hopefully, those who need support to respond, and may take longer to formulate their response, wonāt see their time allocation be less than those who donāt need support.
Hi Simon. More accessible versions including easy read are coming and will be added to the landing page. I know itās not great that they werenāt launched at the same time. Think it was because of the windows of launching with conferences etc.
Thatās a positive it is being addressed, but it shouldnāt have been an afterthought, as you say. Not the first time DfE have done this sadly. Iāll look out for them. Hopefully they will extend the evidence gathering window to recognise the delay.
Shame that there is no EasyRead version or supporting materials, or a way of submitting non-narrative responses. Will make it harder than it needs to be for those with additional needs.
No match today, so extra training following video analysis midweek of last weekendās defeat. Also looking forward to having my eldest back in training following nearly six months out after knee surgery for a nasty Bucket Handle Meniscus tear. His dedication to rehab has been impressive #GrassRoots
Ok, about to get on the plane to head to Education Festival USA! Very excited to be opening the panel to Teacher Tapp US teachers and start to learn from each other - Are we more similar or different? If you know any teachers stateside tell them itās now open for download!

Would be fascinating to calculate what percentage of that figure was spent on childrenās provision, what on organisational operational costs and how much went elsewhere. Would also be interesting to compare increase in costs against increase in population, accepting costs arenāt evenly distributed.
Iām looking at that and seeing a retired @stulock.bsky.social thinking about whether to put the heating on.
