The whole nuclear bro thing is... just weird. It rests on a) the idea that we have to choose between nuclear and renewables and b) that Greens were so powerful in the 1980s that they blocked otherwise totally sensible infrastructure.

I guess this is fossil companies arguing for nuclear over renewables precisely because the former will take much longer to build? A last ditch, jam tomorrow argument to give their assets a couple more investment cycles?
