I’m not going to pile on the guy and I know I am repeating myself and what others have already said, but it is a simple fact that you can rebuild your following, with better quality engagement, here (and maybe other places too), even if you had a huge following on Twitter.
Absolutely. I have grown *exponentially* faster here. It took me a decade to get to 65,000 on Twitter and year to get to 25,000 here. And my engagement has already surpassed my Twitter by by a mile.
But it's not easy or fast and I want my immediate gratification now.

I had 2000 followers on twitter. The algorithm showed me about 20-30 at most. I’m reconnecting with people on here that I haven’t talked to in forever. I’m already more than satisfied. And if new features keep coming, I’ll be very happy.
This is absolutely true. The signal to noise ratio here is wonderful as well. Even though I have but a mere fraction of what I had on twitter...the engagement, and the interaction quality has been superb.

I had 21k followers when I stopped using it and came here in April 2023. I had been on Twitter for 13 years at that point. I’ve been here a year and a half and have 13k so…I’m growing the account here way faster than I did there
