I was watching my aurora app (and everyone's excited chatter online) so I knew I had to get out right at sunset. I got bundled up, grabbed my cameras, and staked out my spot (two doors down in my neighbors' field). Beautiful clear skies for northeast Ohio (Medina area)! 2/18

I knew that there was a burst of color already visible from the east coast at 7:45PM Eastern. I was still fighting the sunset, but the pink-red was visible. The second shot was looking SOUTH from Ohio, red aurora so bright it was visible over the moon and setting sun 3/18
