Does chronic neck/shoulder pain count?

For clarity: The AppCode and ROM have to "match" so to speak in order to work. However, the ROM used was overdumped so it ended up bricking the drive. A trivial fix moving forward, just need a new donor and to try again. Sadly writing the AppCode takes several hours.

It's slipped my mind that I've neglected to post anything regarding PSX HDD firmware. I was able to successfully transplant the AppCode sections of the drive firmware, however the ROM transplant did not go so well. I'll have to start over since work has been so busy I've misplaced my donor drive.

I wish that Replicant would get the same Switch port treatment. I adore that series so much

Commands to do this were already known, but after 2009-2010 they changed the firmware to lock down DIR and module access once an ATA password is set, even if you issue a SuperON command. Proprietary hardware solutions held alternative commands which worked in spite of the lock. Now they're free.

These are now implemented into FATXplorer letting anyone to unlock orphaned Xbox hard drives, or any ATA locked WD drive
