The Carved from Brindlewood system revolutionised mysteries in RPGs for me, the way FitD did with heists. The Between is a joy to run and play, with surprises even for the GM, beautiful problem-solving and messy drama for players. It’s also on BackerKit right now: www.backerkit.com/c/projects/t...

The Between’s cover.

Spire manages to balance humour and horror. For every grimdark fantasy Greggs or fun wedding for firearm-worshippers, there’s the elves taking out resident’s of a PC’s apartment block and shooting them in the street or Bioshock level ‘artist’ mutilating Drow, claiming to ‘improve’ them.

The cover for Spire: The City Must Fall
